How OakSERP collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us. Last updated May 11, 2026.

Overview

OakSERP ("OakSERP," "we," "us," or "our") provides web design, Google Business Profile setup, and local search engine optimization services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit oakserp.com or engage us as a client, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information collected automatically when you visit our site, and information we receive from third-party platforms we use to run the business.

Information you provide

When you complete a contact form, request a quote, sign an agreement, or correspond with us by email, you may share your name, business name, email address, phone number, website URL, the service you are interested in, and any details you choose to include in your message. If you become a client, we may also collect billing information, business location and hours, photos, brand assets, login credentials you choose to share for platforms we manage on your behalf, and other materials needed to deliver the work.

Information collected automatically

When you visit oakserp.com, our servers and analytics tools may record standard technical information including your IP address, approximate location derived from that address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit. We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage.

Information from third parties

If we manage your Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Bing Places, or similar accounts on your behalf, we access information made available through those platforms in order to perform the work. We do not collect information about your customers beyond what those platforms make visible to account managers.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries and provide quotes, deliver the services you have engaged us to perform, communicate with you about projects and invoicing, send occasional updates about our work when you have asked to receive them, operate and improve our website, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share client data with advertisers.

Cookies and Analytics

Our site uses a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary to make pages load correctly. Others help us measure traffic and understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the site, but some features may behave differently.

How We Share Information

We share information only when it is necessary to run the business and only with parties who are bound by confidentiality or contractual obligations. This includes service providers such as our website host, email provider, analytics provider, payment processor, and the search and listing platforms we manage on a client's behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the services you have requested, to maintain accurate business and tax records, and to meet our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or take steps to anonymize it. Client files and project materials are retained for a reasonable period after an engagement ends in case you return or need access.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. This includes encrypted connections to our website, restricted access to client credentials, and the use of reputable third-party providers. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep, or opt out of non-essential communications. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the General Data Protection Regulation. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@oakserp.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Children's Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

Our site and our work may include links to third-party websites and platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email when appropriate. Continued use of oakserp.com after a change means you accept the revised policy.
